As I travel the world and I can’t help noticing the difference between each city I visit.
Some of them are beautiful places to explore and live, while others are inconvenient and unwelcoming. What’s more is that there seems to be a strong link between how our cities are planned, designed, and built, with social well-being: good cities are happier places to live.
I set out on a journey to understand everything I could about good urban planning and how it affected our lives. I’ve spent months reading the best urban planning books, reading extensively about the latest online, and watching hours of videos on urban planning and global growth of cities.
The result of all this research is this six-part series on Good Urban Living. I’ve managed to get pretty much everything you need to know about urban planning into these six short posts. Reading them in order isn’t critical but recommended:
- Part 1: A Love Story
- Part 2: Walk With Me
- Part 3: Like Mud Cake, But Not
- Part 4: Getting In The Zone
- Part 5: Praying To The Car Gods
- Part 6: The Public Park Killer
